Short History
John and his wife Lene who lives in Denmark came on a visit to Munnar and were caught by the serenity, the beauty and the innocence of this destination.
They pickup a piece of land here and make their home on their outings to India were they shared good times with friends which had bungalow built in 1936.
Today the renovated bungalow is offered as a home stay well facilitated to make your stay comfortable as a modern traveler offering homely warmth.
The bungalow
Built using locally sourced materials and styled to a colonial outlay with fine country wood and dressed granite, the bungalow is placed on a clearing with magnificent views facing west.
The home has spacious interiors, minimal furnishing, heavily timbered ceilings, rustic country wood floor, large windows and the gracious verandahs let you embrace nature without boundaries as the whole setting is in tune with the green natural surroundings.
Effortlessly flowing lawns, colorful flowers and unique trees are lovingly close to you.
The rare Neelakurinji, The strobilantus shrub that blooms once in twelve years, is one of the flowers we have in the garden, which blossomed in august 2006.
Have a cup of tea and enjoy the enchanting view of endless stretches of mist-clad mountains, valleys and the tiny villages.
At dusk watch the sun set in the far horizon at its best, and have a drink as an appetizer beside the fireplace for the barbeque.
