Built in the years 1914 the bungalow is done in typical colonial styles with medium pitched sheet roofs, bay windows to well ventilated living area and bedrooms in a comfortable a setting .The large expanses of glass used lets in lots of light into the interiors. The bungalow had undergone extensive renovation in 1963 after wild elephant damage.
Chockanad is believed to be the first mountain to be identified in the Great trigonometric survey.
The layout is well spread with cute chimneys and gables reminding the favorite among English county homes.
