The bungalow was built in 1927, which is today in the Gudarale Tea estate . The estate was opened in 1886 by W Kindersley who came here from Nilgiris which was a Cinchona plantation and later converted to tea in 1905
Nettikudi, the name, probably comes from Netti meaning forehead and Kudi meaning dwelling in Tamil.
The origin of the name Gudarale is still not known.
The bungalow is built in true- to- style and the period tea garden bungalow, which enjoys a lovely view .The bungalow, was occupied by Sergeant Instructor Howse of Central Province Mounted Rifles from 1927 for a long period.
The beautiful surrounding has many Macrocarpa trees and a well laid lawn facing east.
Golf at Kundale Club ,Trout Fishing at Gravel banks on prior request at extra charges.
